Acrylic Care & Maintenance
Acrylic is non-porous in nature making it easy to clean. The acrylic may be cleaned with mild soap and water (ie: bleach diluted with water, vinegar and water, or dish washing liquid) and a soft cloth. You may also use one of the Recommended Cleaners listed below (use only the exact cleaner name listed). When using any cleaner, please follow the instructions on the label.

Always rinse any cleaning product immediately after cleaning. Do not allow cleaners to remain on the acrylic for an extended period of time. You may use a nylon net covered sponge that will not scratch the surface. Use only cleaning products labeled safe for acrylics.

DO NOT USE abrasive, ammonia, ammonium chloride cleaners, harsh chemicals or “spray and leave on” products. Avoid harsh scrubbing of prolonged soaking. Avoid any cleanser or wax that is coarse because it will scratch the surface. When using a product not listed below, always test on a small area and follow specific product instructions before applying to the entire acrylic surfaces.

RECOMMENDED CLEANERS

*Use of unapproved cleaning products will void the warranty and may cause damage to your acrylic in the form of scratching, crazing, discoloration and/or dulling the surface.

Stain Removal
Stains such as iodine may be removed with 45% isopropanol rubbing alcohol. DO NOT use the higher concentration commercial grades of isopropanol alcohol because they will dull the finish causing a milky look, especially on marble walls. In some cases, the gloss can be restored with one of the approved wax products listed below. Some light stains and marks can be cleaned with a 1.1 mixture of mineral spirits and undiluted household cleaners such as Mr. Clean or Top Job.

Surface Scratch Removal Light scratches can be removed by waxing with Gel Gloss or Simonize paste wax. Deeper scratches may be removed by lightly buffing with a fine-grade rubbing compound. You may also use the following on the non-marble acrylics: Gel Gloss Novus Plastic Polish Mirror Glaze Professional Fomula #17 Turtlewax “ White Polish” automotive polishing compound Drain Pains To unclog the drain, bail out the standing water and remove the drain plug. Use a funnel to pour the drain cleaner directly into the drain opening. Avoid contacting the acrylic surface with the drain cleaner. Use drain cleaner sparingly, so that it does not boil out and destroy the acrylic surface. Avoid abrasive, aerosol, ammonia, and leave-on cleaning products.

THE WARRANTY

1. BC Tub liners (BCT) warrants to the customer that the bath and/or wall is warranted against all manufacturer's defects in materials and workmanship and is fit normal residential usage for a period of ten years from the date of installation.
2. BCT warrants that the installation services provided by the licensed BCT dealer and installer shall be of a good and workmanship-like quality for a period of ten years. Should the bath or wall not meet with the above warranty and manufacturing defects are evident, BCT will repair and defect if repairable or will provide a replacement tub or wall and installation is free of charge to the customer. Should the installation of the tub or wall be faulty within the time period stated above, BCT will repair the installation fault at no extra charge to the customer.
3. BCT reserves the right to substitute with a similar model of equal value and quality should the original model be discontinued.

LIMITATIONS

1. The BCT sole liability to the customer in respect of these warranties, shall be limited to replacement and re-performance of the good and service only BCT shall not be liable to the customer for any loss, damage or injury suffered or incurred by the customer in connection with the provision by the dealer or BCT of the tub or wall and installation services whether due to negligence or lack of maintenance

2. The products and services herein provided will not be eligible for warranty protection in the event of the following:
(i) The products are used other than for residential use.
(ii)Accident fire, then, disaster, vandalism, neglect, misuse or abuse, acts of God or other such casualties, alteration of the products or and other condition or event external to the product, or
(iii) Failure by the customer to maintain the bath WALL in accordance with the instructions set out in the documentation provided with the bath WALL
3. This warranty will expire ten years after the installation date written herein for the manufacturer's warranty, and one year from the installation date for the installation portion of the warranty and thereafter neither BCT nor the BCT dealer nor the installer will liable to the customer and the customer shall not make any claim in respect of these warranties. The warranties expressly provide for herein are the only warranties given by BCT in respect to the bath and/or wall and BCT shall not be bound by any other warranty or condition, whether statutory or otherwise given by the BCT dealer or installer.
4. Some provinces may not allow the exclusion of statutory warranties so this exclusion may not apply to you.
5. The warranties set herein are for the benefit of the original customer only and are non-transferable. These warranties will terminate automatically upon the transfer of ownership.
